Burst
The Red King
Tap. Capture. Burst.
A chess-capture arcade puzzler in a torch-lit gothic citadel. You command both armies — and the board is never empty, and never safe.

About the Game
Chess Burst is an arcade clearing game wearing chess as a control scheme. Tap any piece of either faction and it captures the opposite faction using its real chess pattern — a rook sweeps a whole file, a knight leaps its L. Capture is also movement: the capturing piece takes the square it cleared, and everything above collapses into the gap as fresh pieces pour in from the top.
Because the board is always full, gravity is the only movement you have. To reposition a piece you are not capturing with, you clear what is beneath it. Every hunt is part march, part demolition.
And every cycle, something red wakes up. A Red King petrifies your pieces one by one. A Red Queen siphons the clock. A Red Knight spreads a plague in L-shaped jumps. Each one can be killed by exactly one thing — its own kind — and getting that piece into position is the game.
- Command both armies — every piece on the board is a tool
- Real chess patterns as a clearing language, not a chess match
- The Burst: a ray capture that shatters four or more at once
- Three Red hazards, three different pressures, never the same fight
- Torch-lit Obsidian Citadel art direction with sculpted pieces
- Short 3–6 minute runs, portrait, built for iOS and Android
