Ten·su Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Ten·su mobile game for iOS, published by Egret Studio LLC. It does not cover the egretstudio.com website, which has its own policy.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
The short version
- Ten·su has no accounts. You never create one, and we never ask for your name, email, or any contact detail.
- Your scores, settings, and saved boards live on your device.
- The game shows ads and reports crashes, and those services collect data — that is the bulk of what follows.
- You can turn off analytics and crash reporting at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous data.
What is collected, and by whom
Ten·su itself stores your progress on your device. The data below is collected by third-party services built into the game. We are responsible for their presence in the app, so they are listed here in full.
| What | Why | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Serving and measuring ads. Includes Apple's advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when asked. | Google AdMob |
| Approximate location | Derived from your IP address by the ad service to select region-appropriate ads. The game never requests location permission and cannot see your precise location. | Google AdMob |
| Advertising data | Which ads were shown, and whether they were interacted with. | Google AdMob |
| Gameplay events | Anonymous product analytics — sessions started, runs finished, scores, difficulty, tutorial progress — so we can tell which parts of the game work. | Mixpanel |
| Crash and performance diagnostics | Crash reports and error diagnostics with the app version and device model, so we can fix defects. | Sentry |
| Game Center player ID and scores | Leaderboards, if you are signed in to Game Center. Handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. | Apple |
| Purchase status | Whether the one-time “Remove Ads” purchase is owned. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. | Apple |
How you are identified — and how you are not
Analytics events are tagged with a random identifier that the game generates on your device the first time it runs. It is not your Apple advertising identifier, not your device’s vendor identifier, and not derived from anything about you or your hardware. It cannot be linked to you or to your activity in any other app, and deleting Ten·su deletes it permanently.
Advertising is the exception, and only with your permission. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, Google may use Apple’s advertising identifier to personalize ads, which can involve data collected in other apps and websites. If you decline, ads still appear but are non-personalized.
Your choices
- Tracking. iOS asks for permission before the first ad. You can change your answer at any time in the iOS Settings app, under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Analytics and crash reporting. Turn off Share anonymous data in Ten·su’s own Settings → Privacy. This stops both immediately and discards anything still waiting to be sent.
- Declining tracking also stops analytics. If you refuse the tracking prompt, or decline consent where the EU/UK rules apply, Ten·su sends no analytics or diagnostics at all — not merely less.
- Removing ads. The optional one-time purchase removes interstitial ads. Rewarded ads that you choose to watch remain available.
Consent where it is required
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Ten·su presents a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform before serving ads, and records your choice. On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown before the first ad rather than at launch. Refusing either never blocks you from playing.
Children
Ten·su is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us at support@egretstudio.com and we will delete what we can identify.
Retention and your rights
Analytics and diagnostic data are retained by Mixpanel and Sentry under our accounts, and by Google under its own terms, for as long as they are useful for the purposes above. Because Ten·su has no accounts, the random per-install identifier described above is the only key that exists for your data.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To make a request, email support@egretstudio.com. We will ask for the per-install identifier so we can locate the data; without it we may be unable to connect a request to any records. Uninstalling the game deletes all local data and the identifier itself.
Third-party policies
The services named above process data under their own policies: Google, Mixpanel, Sentry, and Apple.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects what is collected, note it in the app’s release notes.
